When the Director, Dutch Global Gas Station Limited has the opportunity to be born again and chose a profession, he might probably want to become a policeman.<\/p>\n

This is so because he was on Wednesday, 27th October, 2021 about 1255 hours, rescued from the jaws of Kidnappers after they abducted and were taking him away before policemen of Imo State Command attached to the Tactical teams engaged the criminals in a hot chase.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that following a distress call that the Director of Dutch Global Gas Station Limited, has been kidnapped by five armed men who had trailed, double crossed and blocked his vehicle – a G-Wagon jeep – by a shop along Akwakuma Road in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo, the Tactical team displayed excellent gallantry and rescued him unhurt with his friend.<\/p>\n

The criminals with a sky blue Lexus Jeep with undisclosed registration number, hijacked the victim while driving in company of his friend.<\/p>

To scare people away, the kidnappers shot sporadically into the air causing fear and pandemonium which made passersby to run for safety and in the process they forced the victims out of their vehicle and pushed them into their Lexus jeep and zoomed off.<\/p>\n

According to the Police Public Relations of Imo state Command, CSP Michael Abattam who disclosed the rescue said, “Immediately, the command’s Tactical teams on patrol within the axis were alerted, they speed to the area; giving the hoodlums a hot chase.<\/p>\n

“Joined by other Tactical teams, the Kidnappers on sighting their numbers and the pressure mounted, felt threaten hence, they abandoned their vehicle with the victims and fled into hiding. The victims were rescued unhurt and have since reunited with their families.<\/p>\n

“The victim’s G-Wagon jeep was later recovered at the scene with three expended cartridges. While efforts are on top gear to arrest the fleeing suspects.<\/p>\n

“The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Rabiu Hussaini, while commending the officers and men for their gallantry, thanked Imolites for their cooperation and supports, urging them to continue to assist the police with credible information and report any suspicious person or activities seen within their neighbourhoods to the nearest police station or call the Police command emergency numbers 08034773600 or 08098880197 in time of distress,” CSP Michael Abattam added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
