Attempts by officers of the Delta State Police Command to dwarf the activities of cult groups have yielded positive result as one Davidson Umukoro, 22, has been arrested along Ajagbodudu road in Oghara.<\/p>\n

Arrested on the 15th October, 2021 about 1130 hrs by a patrol team attached to Oghara division, the suspect who wore red berrett and red wrist watch confessed to be a member of vikings confraternity.<\/p>\n

Also apprehended were the duo of Awe Clever, 38, and Iwaire Success, 22 while under the palm trees close to Patos hotels in Oghara while others escaped into the bush.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that the suspects were wearing their secret cult attire of red caps and customized t-shirt. However, efforts are on to arrest the fleeing members of the group.<\/p>\n

Also on the 18th October, 2021 the police recovered from armed robbery suspects a locally made gun by the Eagle net patrol teams while on stop and search duty along Ughelli – Warri road in Ughelli.<\/p>\n

They had intercepted one commercial Vinto car with Reg. No: UGH 14 ND with six occupants. However, two of the occupants, one Kelly Ogoja, 35, of Adabrasa community Okpe and Joseph Samuel, 26, of Osubi Community immediately jumped down and ran into a nearby bush.<\/p>\n

They were chased and arrested and upon searching them, one locally made pistol was recovered from Kelly Ogoja. suspects and exhibit are in custody while investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

According to the Delta State Police spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe disclosed the arrest of some suspects after a black spot at Ugbuwangue, Warri was raided on the 18th October, 2021 about 1430 hrs while acting on credible intelligence by the command Rapid Response team.<\/p>\n

During the raid it was further gathered, three suspects namely Abubakar Usman, 30, Ibrahim Sani, 28, and Mohammed Bello, 24, were arrested and 11 sachets of tramadol, three bottles of codeine syrup, one sachet of swinol and 54 wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from them.<\/p>\n

Also, while confirming the rescue of a kidnapped victim, DSP Edafe disclosed that a distress caller reported at Abraka Division that he gave his lexus car to his friend, one Oghenero Iboyitete of Itagehene Street Abraka and that about 2300hrs, he came out of his gate only to find out that his car engine was on with the doors opened and his friend was no where to be found to be.<\/p>\n

The DPO Abraka Division detailed operatives who went on intelligence led investigation. The operatives on getting to the scene trailed them to a nearby bush and found a pair of slippers, two mobile phones and T-shirt all belonging to the victim.<\/p>\n

Trailing of the culprits was intensified which forced the kidnappers to flee abandoning the victim and he was rescued unhurt. Manhunt for the fleeing suspects is ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
