A strayed cow has reportedly killed a three-month-old baby and seriously injured his mother at the Ebrumede community in Effurun area of Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.<\/p>\n

The incident which took place on Monday threw the entire community into panic and pandemonium.<\/p>\n

According to a source, the cow was said to have been led by two herdsmen to the buyer, when suddenly it attacked a woman who had the baby strapped to her back.<\/p>

It was learnt that while the baby died on the spot, the mother sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the development, the Delta State Police spokesperson, DSP Edafe Bright said the matter was resolved immediately it happened and everybody has gone his own way<\/p>\n

“We don’t want a situation where people would be angered and start attacking the Fulanis. What I can tell you is that the matter has been resolved immediately and peacefully.” DSP Edafe added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
