Communities of Kolo Creek Cluster Development Board,a Shell Petroleum Development Company,SPDC funded cluster have commended the multinational oil company for executing projects contained in their GMoU with communities of the cluster board.<\/p>\n

Speaking with National wire in Yenagoa,chairman of the cluster,Ebelema Danadana, Esq said the oil company before and from his inception into office as chairman of the kolo creek cluster development board(KCDB have timely provided funds for the execution of infrastructural projects in all the communities of the cluster.<\/p>\n

Danadana reiterated the commitment of the cluster towards becoming a pacesetter in development, noting that all lingering contentious issues on projects execution in communities of the board have been settled since he assumed office as helmsman.<\/p>\n

The KCDB boss who also spoke on unity stated that the level of development in the SPDC host communities of Elebele,Imiringi,Yibama(Oruma) and Otuasega was due to the board’s resolve to foster peace amongst community members of the board for their rapid socioeconomic transformation through the execution of impacting projects.<\/p>\n

He said the female folks were not left behind in the implementation of their GMoU with the oil company,just as he maintained that a reasonable percentage of projects and programmes have been giving to women of the area for execution as means of empowerment.<\/p>

The chairman who hinted on some of the ongoing projects of the cluster board said such projects include various metres of concrete roads,markets,town halls,building of accommodation lodges for youth corps members posted to KCDB member communities, flooding control projects,amongst others.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the kolo creek cluster development board has berated the Nigerian Agip oil company, NAOC for not executing any project in the communities of the area which the group alleges are the second highest bearers of Agip’s facilities in Bayelsa state.<\/p>\n

The board regretted that the oil major has been marginalizing its host communities in the kolo creek axis of the state.<\/p>\n

The KCDB noted that not even a single community of the cluster area was linked to the gas turbine built by Agip in Elebele,one of its co-host communities which powers the Nigerian content headquarters in Yenagoa.<\/p>\n
