{"id":49396,"date":"2021-06-01T20:20:06","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T19:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=49396"},"modified":"2021-06-01T20:20:06","modified_gmt":"2021-06-01T19:20:06","slug":"delta-police-nabs-gun-runner-cultists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/delta-police-nabs-gun-runner-cultists\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta Police Nabs Gun Runner, Cultists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;rescues Kidnapped victims<\/p>\n<p>By: Okosun Dennis<\/p>\n<p>Following orders by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, that the Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders to carry out continuous raiding of black spots with a view to sanitizing, restoring and sustaining peace and order in the state, a discreet intelligence has led to the arrest of three suspected &#8220;Aro Bagger&#8221; cult members.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-49398\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMG-20210601-WA0028-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was learnt that on the 20th May, 2021, three suspected cultists named Onomua Victor, 29 years, Saturday with surname unknown, and Ibru Adegbor all from Jesse community were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>On investigation and interrogation, they confessed to be members of Aro Bagger confraternity, whose cult leader, it was disclosed, is on the run.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was further revealed that the leader was in possession of their arms which they call \u2018tool\u2019 popularly known as cut to size gun.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-49399\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMG-20210601-WA0025-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On further interrogation of the suspects, they confessed that one Francis Ogono, 42 years is their gun supplier who is also from Jesse.<\/p>\n<p>However, on the 29th May, 2021, SACU operatives were said to have gone after the gun runner and got him arrested. However, based on technical intelligence, Dragon patrol teams in conjunction with Agbarho divisional patrol team promptly swung into action and moved to Usiefurun Community Off Ughelli\/Warri road.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was sighted by the combined teams and the moment the hoodlums sighted the police, they abandoned the victim\u2019s Gold colored Lexus RX 350 Jeep Reg. No. LSD 366 CL, Chassis No. 2T2HK3U08C077223.<\/p>\n<p>They also abandoned their operational vehicle, a black colored Honda Pilot Jeep Reg.
