The Delta State Police Command on 16the April, 2021 about 2030hrs
\narrested one kenneth Ajie \u2018m\u2019 of Amadaga village and also uncovered an illegal factory where fake alcohol is produced at Ovwia in Udu local government area of Delta State.<\/p>\n

Confirming the arrest, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe gave the name of the wine that is produced by the suspect as AKESCO WINE AND BEVERAGES, ADAJA COMMUNITIES NIGERIA.<\/p>\n

The anti-cult unit was led by SP Christopher Igbaji after due intelligence gathering, mobilized operatives from SACU on a sting operation with the civilian anti-cult volunteer corps.<\/p>\n

The suspect who produces these fake wines in his house, operate without any license. According to the suspect, he sells the wine for the sum of three hundred naira (N300) per bottle and three thousand, six hundred naira (N3,600) per carton.<\/p>\n

He confessed that he is using the bottles that have already been used and disposed, adding that he buys those bottles for N10.00 per bottle, and he also buys the cork from open market.<\/p>\n

He claims that he washes the bottles and cork the wines himself before selling to members of the public.<\/p>\n

Kenneth claimed to work alone and produces about one to three cartons per day.<\/p>\n

Exhibits recovered from him included bottles of the drinks suspected to be fake alcoholic wine.<\/p>

In another development, on the 28th April, 2021 about 0120hrs Men of \u2018A\u2019 Division Warri received a distress call from one of the police constabulary attached to \u2018B\u2019 Division Warri that four suspected armed robbery gang in a Toyota camry (pencil light) were operating at Ubor axis in Warri.<\/p>\n

The DPO A Division Warri CSP T.Y. Mahmud immediately mobilized and led anti-crime patrol team in search of the hoodlums. They were later sighted between Ogwangwe and NPA.<\/p>\n

They were engaged in gun duel with the police and chased them to Iyara, before the hoodlums eventually abandoned the Toyota Camry Reg no. TE845 AAA.<\/p>\n

The Vehicle happens to be the same vehicle that was stolen at Ekuremu Street in Warri on 22nd April 2021 belonging to a renowned journalist Felix Ekwu.<\/p>\n

However, one locally made single barrel loaded with one live cartridge were recovered.<\/p>\n

The DPO \u2018A\u2019 Division led men for a search party, where abandoned shoes, neck chain and phone charging cord were recovered at their escape route.<\/p>\n
