\u2026family announces week-long burial programme \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The family, in conjuction with the Aisegba Community Grammar School and Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti Alumni Associations, have come up with a week-long events to give a former Principal of the\u00a0 schools,\u00a0 Chief Olusola Bayode a befitting burial.<\/p>\n

The family has lined up programmes\u00a0 both in Ado-Ekiti and Ikere Ekiti to honour the late educationist and his contributions to the development of the two communities in the area of physical infrastructure and child development.<\/p>\n

The Spokesman of the family, Mr. Morakinyo Bayode said the burial programmes would kick off on Monday April 19th, 2021 with\u00a0 a special commendation service at Aisegba Community Grammar School, Aisegba -Ekiti where Chief Bayode was the pioneer Principal.<\/p>\n

This will be a platform for the old students and other stakeholders to celebrate the icon and for the community to reflect on the impact of one of the foremost educational administrators produced by Ekiti State and Nigeria on the development of academic excellence of the area.<\/p>\n

Members of the immediate and extended family, Christ’s School community, friends of the family as well as well-wishers will\u00a0 converge on Christ’s School premises on Wednesday,\u00a0 April 21st, 2021 for commendation service and Night of Tributes in honour of the departed ‘Old Boy’ and former Principal whose development strategy remains a reference point in the history of the school.<\/p>

The body of Chief Olusola Bayode will be received on Thursday, April 22nd\u00a0 by past and present Principals of Christ’s School at the school premises after which his body would be laid-in-state at his residence in Ado-Ekiti before proceeding to his hometown, Ikere-Ekiti.<\/p>\n

Another lying-in-state will be observed at church hall of Saint Luke’s Anglican Church, Uro, Ikere-Ekiti after which a Christian Wake will be conducted by officials of the Anglican Church.<\/p>\n

The funeral Service has been slated to hold at the same church on Friday\u00a0 to pay the last respect to the man described as a pride of his generation and symbol of encouragement.<\/p>\n

His body would later be interred at the church cemetery.<\/p>\n

Bayode was an outstanding educationist and administrator. He passed on in January at the age of 82 and would be greatly missed by his large family, friends, associates, his old students and well wishers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
