Nigeria\u2019s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory as at 31st<\/sup> December 2020 have accumulated a total of $4,773,631,955.06, the Debt Management Office has published.<\/p>\n

According to the chat, Lagos State accumulated the highest debt which stood at $1.3bn while Taraba State recorded the least which stood at $20.7m.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the Federal Government as at same date owed a whopping $28,574,453,967.84.<\/p>\n

Whatever projects the various loans were approved to accomplish and how they are being serviced is a different story but the populace may sometimes need to engage the government for relevant information.<\/p>\n
