It was another feather to its cap on Thursday as officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oko-Afro Outpost of the Lagos State Sector Command rendered an assistance to a woman in labour while on transit within the metropolis.<\/p>\n

The Sector Commander, Olusegun Ogungbemide in a statement and signed by the FRSC Public Education Officer in Lagos, Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi said that the assistance became imperative to save the life of the pregnant woman and the baby.<\/p>\n

“About 0832hrs while on patrol at Area K Police Station, a Mazda bus convening passengers stopped in front of the team and logged a complaint that a pregnant woman was in Labour.<\/p>

“We quickly used the patrol vehicle to convene her to the nearest hospital, and to the glory of God she delivered safely a bouncing baby boy,” he said.<\/p>\n

Ogungbemide noted that the command would nnn\u00f1nnot relent on its determination to do anything that would safeguard the lives and property of Lagosians on the road.<\/p>\n
