The era of miscreants terrorising Lagosians is been foreclosed as the Lagos State Police Command has intensified efforts to sanitise and restore normalcy to the Agarawu, Ita Faaji, Igbosere and other areas on the Lagos Island.<\/p>\n

As a result, the continued siege by miscreants and gangsters have been thwarted as 58 miscreants have been arrested by the police.<\/p>\n

The arrested suspects included
\nSikiru Kareem (Elderly person);
\nKamal Olatoyinbo (Elderly Person);
\nSulaimon Alaga (Elderly Person);
\nMusa Alidu (Elderly Person); Amadu Chidi; Abass Saliu; Gafar Ambali; Oriyomi Adeyemi;
\nSuleiman Saleh; Ojo Junior;
\nAbayomi Ogunleye; Alhassan Abdulahi; Kazeem Olagbajumo;
\nRilwan Salau; Wajud Taiwo;
\nSuleiman Adewale; Wahab Azeez
\nAdam Oluwole; Solomon Segun;
\nWahab Korede; Micheal Oladeji; Gafar Mustapha Adeniyi; Oluwatobu Senu and Afeez Sulaimon.<\/p>\n

The female suspects among them included: Sharon Egiri; Idris Jumoke; Nike Idris; Adewale Adeola and Damilola Omoniyi.<\/p>

It was learnt that the command had despatched a team of RRS, Taskforce, Police Mobile Force, Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps and other local security outfits, commanded by the Area Commnader, Area A, Lion Building,
\nACP Bode Ojajuni and went after the bad boys in the area.<\/p>\n

It was also gathered that the miscreants and gangsters in the areas had severally attacked and damaged peoples properties while some allegedly lost their lives to their various criminal activities.<\/p>\n

The Command spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, found it imperative to raise a formidable team to carry out sting operations on the island to restore normalcy to the affected areas.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner of Police has directed that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for proper investigation and prosecution.<\/p>\n

He also warned but assured that the command will not relent on its oars in making sure that the Lagos Island and the state generally are free of gangsterism, hooliganism and crimes<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
