Niger State Government has said it would not succumb to any attempt or threat to sabotage it’s efforts and commitment towards the development and actualization of the Multi -Million Dollars Bobi Grazing Reserve located in Mariga and Mashegu Local Government Areas of the State.<\/p>\n

The State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, stated this in an interactive session with Journalists on Monday, on the sidelines of an unscheduled visit to the Reserve, just as he acknowledged the increasing cases of Armed Banditry in some parts of the State and assured that government will do whatever it takes to secure the place.<\/p>\n

He said the State government was not oblivious of the security threats across the state, and specifically on Bobi Grazing Reserve and vowed not to leave anything to chances as the bandits may be out to undermine the progress development that was being made on the over 34, 000 hectares facility.<\/p>\n

“Without having to give details, I can assure you that we are committed and determined to put in place high-level security measures that will safeguard both government and private sector investments here”, he stated.<\/p>

Governor Sani Bello thereby urged the recognized Fulani communities within the grazing reserve to embrace and key into the Ruga Settlement Programme for their socio-economic prosperity and in the overall interest of the State.<\/p>\n

The Governor, charged them to be vigilant and security conscious, protect all facilities and equipments in the reserve, be accommodating but cautious in harbouring those he described as ‘wicked’ people who may be out to disrupt the arrangements.<\/p>\n

Earlier, in a brief address, the Leader of the Fulanis in the Bobi Grazing Reserve, Malam Ardo Abubakar expressed optimism that the project will be a huge success.<\/p>\n

He said, “we have witnessed the planting and harvest of the Pastures, we have also seen the reality of artificial insemination and crossbreeding, and we are convinced about it’s potentials as a lucrative and dependable business”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
