A 25-year-old Zainab Justina Adamu, a commercial sex worker, an indigene of Adamawa State but residing at Kofar Kaura Layout, Katsina state, has been arrested for selling her four month old baby for N300,000.<\/p>\n

Her arrest was made possible on the 26th November, 2020 about 16:30hrs, following a tip off.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that she was arrested with her friend, one Ruth Kenneth, 32, also of Kofar Kaura Layout, but an indigene of Delta state, who she conspired with to sell her baby girl to one Chinwindi Omeh, 43, of Ekuisigo Local Government Area of Anambra state.<\/p>

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, while confirming the arrest said investigation has revealed another suspect, one Chukwudi Elias Nnali, 45, of the same address and a brother to Chinwindi Omeh, was also arrested for aiding and abetting the commission of the offence.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, N165,000 and N85,000 were recovered from both Zainab Adamu and Ruth Kenneth respectively as proceeds of the sale of the baby.<\/p>\n
