Traders at the popular\u00a0 Sabon Gari market in Kano, Northwest Nigeria, have been counting their loses after the fire outbreak that destroyed properties worth millions of naira in the market.<\/p>\n

The cause of the Friday night fire outbreak that burnt till early Saturday is still unknown.<\/p>\n

Eye witnesses around the market said, the fire started around the Sani Abacha Mosque before spreading to Gidan Magge.<\/p>

Men from the Fire service according to reports arrived at the scene but uncountered difficulty in gaining access to stop the inferno.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Further reports said, when the fire men eventually gained access, they however ran out of water, which made the fire to cause more havoc.<\/p>\n
