It was a huge relief and compensatory galore for policemen serving under the Lagos State Command on Wednesday as the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu met police officers serving in Lagos at the Police Command in Ikeja, announcing various compensation for them.<\/p>\n

The Governor who was accompanied by his Deputy, Dr Femi Hamzat and other Cabinet members, assured the police officers of the State Government’s commitment to meeting the requests of the youth agitation during the #Endsars protest.<\/p>\n

Sanwo-Olu promised to fund burial arrangements of officers killed during #Endsars protests, as well as compensate families of police officers killed during the protest.<\/p>

He also awarded scholarship for the children of the killed police officers in protest; foot the medical bills of injured police officers in the protest, in addition to considering insurance for serving police officers of the Lagos Command.<\/p>\n

On rebuilding all the burnt police stations in the state, Gov Sanwo-Olu approved remodelling all razed police posts into modern stations,
\nand provide two new generators to power the Command headquarters.<\/p>\n

He stated that the time is ripe for improved police – citizens relationship, urging the officers to ensure that their uniform represents dignity, pride, honour and discipline.<\/p>\n
