Operatives attached to the Anambra Police Command Special Anti-Cult Unit (SPACS) on Monday arrested one Chijioke Chukwulota, 31, for stealing a twins before selling them to a woman for N150,000.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that Chukwulota, a native of Imo State but resides at Uruagu village, Nnewi sold them to one Tina Ibeato, 31, also a native of Imo State. The arrest was made possible about 6pm based on credible intelligence.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, explained that the suspect had lured his ex-girlfriend whom he allegedly impregnated and stole the children – a twin baby girls – before selling them.<\/p>\n

The babys who were about two months on the 4th August, 2020 after she gave birth to them through a cesarean operation, were sold to the suspect for N150,000 only.<\/p>

The two suspects have been arrested and the children recovered and are all in good condition of health.<\/p>\n
