In an emailed note to customers, the FirstBank said: \u201cThese are interesting times and we have upgraded our PoS terminals to accept cardless payments.<\/p>\n

  1. Cashier selects \u2018Pay with USSD\/CGATE\u2019 on PoS machine and enters the amount to be paid<\/li>\n
  2. A 4-digit Reference Code is generated and displayed on the PoS terminal.<\/li>\n
  3. You dial\u00a0*894*000*ReferenceCode#\u00a0on your phone to make payment and authenticate transaction with your USSD transaction PIN.<\/li>\n
  4. Transaction is approved; you get debited and the merchant gets credited instantly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
