AIICO Insurance PLC has extended its Work\u00a0from Home policy to allow\u00a0more\u00a0of\u00a0its employees work from home till January 2021.<\/p>\n

Currently, about 50% of its workforce work from home, while others enjoy the flexibility of running\u00a0weekly\u00a0rotation\u00a0as a social distancing measure.<\/p>\n

In view of the\u00a0recent\u00a0shutdown of the Third Mainland Bridge and its effects on movements\u00a0across Lagos, the Management of the Company has deemed it fit to allow majority of its employees take advantage of the Work\u00a0from Home arrangement.<\/p>\n

According to Mr. Babatunde Fajemirokun, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, \u201cWe are in unprecedented times and we keep evolving and adapting to the new normal. We are mindful of what our employees go through, commuting to and from work. Our robust Business Continuity Plan, which we implemented during the lockdown period, has proven to be quite effective in running business operations either on premise or remotely. Our employees\u2019productivity during that period was quite impressive. We will continue to leverage our Business Continuity arrangement to deliver value to our customers while ensuring our employees\u2019 well-beingand safety.<\/p>\n

Mr.\u00a0Oluyemi\u00a0Obakin, Head, Human Resources, added \u201cAIICO\u2019s Work\u00a0from Home policy had been in existence\u00a0since 2018; we only modified and expanded\u00a0it\u00a0to adapt to current realities. It is among several other people initiatives we have deployed to boost employees\u2019 morale and productivity level.<\/p>
