{"id":40659,"date":"2020-06-09T17:04:10","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T16:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=40659"},"modified":"2020-06-09T17:04:37","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T16:04:37","slug":"how-mother-of-13-gave-birth-to-quadruplets-in-zaria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/how-mother-of-13-gave-birth-to-quadruplets-in-zaria\/","title":{"rendered":"How A Mother Of 13 Gave Birth To Quadruplets In Zaria"},"content":{"rendered":"<header id=\"masthead\" class=\"site-header clearfix \">\n<div id=\"header-text-nav-container\" class=\"clearfix\">\n<div id=\"site-navigation-sticky-wrapper\" class=\"sticky-wrapper is-sticky\">\n<nav id=\"site-navigation\" class=\"main-navigation clearfix\" role=\"navigation\">\n<div class=\"inner-wrap clearfix\">\n<div class=\"search-random-icons-container\">\n<div class=\"top-search-wrap\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/nav>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div id=\"main\" class=\"clearfix\">\n<div class=\"inner-wrap clearfix\">\n<div id=\"primary\">\n<div id=\"content\" class=\"clearfix\">\n<article id=\"post-37139\" class=\"post-37139 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-breaking-news category-top-story\">\n<div class=\"article-content clearfix\">\n<div class=\"entry-content clearfix\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u00a0 A 34-year-old\u00a0 housewife, Hauwa\u2019u Sulaiman, of No. 70 Alfadarai in Zaria, also\u00a0 a mother of 13,\u00a0 gave birth to a set of quadruplets at\u00a0 the \u00a0Gambo Sawaba General Hospital, Zaria, on Friday,\u00a0 June 5.<\/p>\n<p>Sulaiman told\u00a0 the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Zaria that she had now been blessed with 17 children, adding that the set of the new quadruplets she was\u00a0 recently delivered\u00a0 of was her eighth delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The mother and the babies were transferred to the\u00a0 Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) for better care after she had been delivered of her latest pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Sulaiman, however,\u00a0 said that\u00a0 the only male among the quadruplets\u00a0 died before they arrived ABUTH.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the remaining three infants had been placed under observation at the pediatrics care unit and she (the mother) had been receiving medical care at the maternity ward.<\/p>\n<p>She said that she received\u00a0 two bags of blood during the delivery processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very healthy and strong but\u00a0 the medical experts advised that I need to be monitored very well before they can discharge me,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p><div data-ad-id=\"32665\" style=\"text-align:center; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px;float:none;\" class=\"afw afw_ad_image afw_ad afwadid-32665  \">\r\n                                                            <div style=\"font-size:10px;text-align:center;color:#cccccc;\">Advertisement<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.accessbankplc.com\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"auto\" max-width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Banner-1.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n                                                                        \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p>Her husband, Malam Sulaiman Mohammed , also said\u00a0 that his wife had\u00a0 twice in the past\u00a0 \u00a0given\u00a0 birth to a set of triplets; a set of twins two times, and given birth to three\u00a0 babies at\u00a0 different times\u00a0 before\u00a0 the quadruplets.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed, a driver, expressed gratitude to Allah for the wonderful gift of the babies.<\/p>\n<p>He added that it was his senior brother that was assisting him with the children whenever such needs arose.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, his mother , Saudatu Haruna; said\u00a0 that the birth of the quadruplets was not a surprise to them attributing it to inheritance, adding that she gave birth to a set of twins at three different occasions.<\/p>\n<p>Haruna added that her mother was a triplet and her father was a twin stressing that the quadruplets were\u00a0 not coming\u00a0 to the family as a surprise to her.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Isa Abdulkadir,\u00a0 the leading Consultant in the Pediatrics unit at ABUTH, said that\u00a0 the three babies were in good condition.
