Umar reads, \u201cWe are submitting this complaint against one Mubarak Bala of Layin Masallacin Bilai, Karkasara Quarters, Kano.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe said Mubarak was born and raised as a Muslim but for his own personal reason decided to leave Islam for atheism sometime in 2014 and has since then been writing stuff on his Facebook page that are provocative and annoying to the Muslims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a Change.org petition titled \u2018Mubarak Bala\u2019s Facebook Account Should be Closed,\u2019 which was started three days ago, has been signed by 16,942 as of Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Bala is expected to be prosecuted for blasphemy, a crime which contravenes the Sharia Penal Code.<\/p>\n<p>The atheist had posted on Monday, \u201cFact is, you have no life after this one. You have been dead before, long before you were born, billions of years on death.\u201d<\/p><div data-ad-id=\"32665\" style=\"text-align:center; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px;float:none;\" class=\"afw afw_ad_image afw_ad afwadid-32665  \">\r\n                                                            <div style=\"font-size:10px;text-align:center;color:#cccccc;\">Advertisement<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.accessbankplc.com\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"auto\" max-width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Banner-1.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n                                                                        \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p>A search through Bala\u2019s Facebook page also shows him mocking Christian clerics, including the founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, TB Joshua.<\/p>\n<p>When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna State, Mohammed Jalige, said, \u201cI cannot tell you anything about the offence, why he was arrested. We only received a signal that he should be arrested. It is not our case. The case is (for) Kano State Command.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked if Bala would be transferred to the Kano command, Jalige said, \u201cI don\u2019t know actually. We are waiting for further directives from Kano State Command. He was arrested yesterday.
