In a bid to ensure that Covid-19 does not spread in rural communities and people stay healthy, Urohi sons and daughters in the Diaspora have donated thousands of hand sanitizers to Urohi kingdom in Esan West local government area of Edo State.<\/p>\n

The donation was presented to His Royal Majesty, Otoikhine 1, the Onojie of Urohi Kingdom, at his palace in Eguare-Urohi.<\/p>\n

According to the General Secretary, Newman Ighodalo said in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Non-governmental organization that “Urohi Sons and Daughters in Diaspora have supplied Hand-Sanitizers to every home across Urohi Kingdom.<\/p>\n

In addition, they have also made available to the kingdom some money to procure and install some electric poles that have collapsed for some time.<\/p>

It was learnt that the community has been without electricity for some months due to the damaged poles, and every effort to ensure BEDC replaced the faulty poles have proved abortive.<\/p>\n

He further reiterated that with the lockdown in the state, there was the need to support Edo State government to maintain good hygiene and ensure that the Covid-19 pandemic doesn’t spread in the community.<\/p>\n

Ighodalo added that the sanitizers were the first phase of their humanitarian services on this COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
