While Nigerians still await the return of abducted Chibok girls, and the final end of Boko Haram insurgent, police source has confirmed another abduction of 16 women and girls by suspected Boko Haram fighters in Adamawa State.<\/p>\n

The abduction which took place on Wednesday in Sabongari Madalali in Madalali Local Government Area, was masterminded by the insurgents who are now being trailed by security operatives in the area.<\/p>\n

The victims were said to have been kidnapped in the field while they went to fetch firewood. Others were abducted at the stream during fishing.<\/p>

Meanwhile, two of the women escaped by pretending to have been drowned. Sight of the heavily armed bandits scared the escorts who had accompanied the women, local sources said.<\/p>\n

Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Othman Abubakar has assured the Command\u2019s response to the attack. According to him, \u201cthe Police is working round the clock to track down the abducted women and girls.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
