Access Bank plc has issued a release that by 1st<\/sup> of March 2020 cheques of its recently acquired Diamond Bank would no longer be valid for clearing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The release issued via the electronic mail reads that,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAs directed by Access Bank, please kindly be informed that effective\u00a0March 01, 2020,<\/strong>\u00a0Diamond Bank cheques will no longer be valid for clearing.\u201d<\/p>\n

This directive is a nationwide order which holds across its branches around Nigeria where such cheques have been honoured ever since the two banks signed the agreement to work together.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition, Diamond Bank cheques will no longer be accepted at any of our branches, from\u00a0February 27, 2020,\u201d the release read further.<\/strong><\/p>

The bank has however called on Nigerians to ask for more information on its dedicated phone line.<\/p>\n
