Police in Niger state, has \u00a0said it has mapped out strategies to secure lives and properties of the citizenry residents\u00a0 in the state in order to ensure a peaceful yelutide celebration throughout the state.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, \u00a0Alhaji Adamu Usman, stated this \u00a0in a Press statement, issued and made available to the newsmen on Tuesday in Minna, the state capital by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO)\u00a0 of the\u00a0 Command, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Uthman Umar O.<\/p>\n

The release added that adequate Police personnel drawn from Anti- Bomb Section, Counter Terrorism Unit, Mobile Police, Conventional Police and\u00a0 plain cloth\u00a0 Operatives will be deployed to Churches, Motor parks, Recreation centres, major roads,and Amusement parks across the state, to ensure hitch- free celebration.<\/p>

The Command however reminded all Nigerlites on the need to maintain law and order before, during and after the festivities, while worshipers were enjoined to always be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or movements to the Police for necessary action.<\/p>\n

CP, Adamu Usman, however \u00a0called on parents\/guardians to warn their children and wards against the use of fireworks\u00a0 for the celebrations adding that any person or group of persons caught engaging in any act of violence\u00a0 or lawlessness capable of disrupting\u00a0 the celebrations will face the full wrath of the law.<\/p>\n
