\u2026Proposed N13 Dividend Pay-Out For 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

Considering its growth and development drive in the domestic economy as fund managers, the management of ValueAlliance has reiterated that the going concern will continue to return good yield to investors.<\/p>\n

The fund managers said that part of its new strategy going forward in 2019 is to continue to seek out suitable investment opportunities in the listed and unlisted equities space.<\/p>\n

Addressing the capital market community at the Exchange during the company\u2019s Facts Behind the Figures presentation on Monday, the Executive Director, CIO, ValuAlliance Asset Management, Mrs. Eno Atoyebi said since inception of the company in 2011, it has taken its pride of place and had since returned 127 per cent growth yield to investors.<\/p>\n

She said with the company\u2019s consistent philosophy to adopt a rigorous four step investment process to determine securities to be included in its investment portfolio, it has helped in the company\u2019s achieving its aims and objectives in the investment space.<\/p>\n

She said that the value fund has achieved a holding period return of 127 percent which translates to a 7-year CAGR of 12.43 per cent even as total distribution to unit holders as at June 2018 stood at N1.79 billion (55.83\/unit).<\/p>\n

On the company\u2019s key financials, Mrs. Atoyebi explained that for the full year 2018, the equity portfolio contributed approximately 71 percent to the total revenue for the period, while the fund\u2019s exposure to both listed and unlisted equities ranged between 56 percent and 61 percent retuning a total of c.27 percent for the period, adding that the yield of the fixed income investments ranged between 14 per to 17 per cent.<\/p>

With the company\u2019 Net Asset rising from N4.846 billion in 2017 to N5.498 billion in the corresponding year in 2018, Mrs. Atoyebi reiterated that the company will explore suitable investment opportunities equities space.<\/p>\n

On the company\u2019s focus for 2019, Mrs. Atoyebi said the they as fund managers will \u201creview existing holdings of the Fund; may potentially trade out of equity positions that are determined to be trading close to intrinsic value or at a premium to intrinsic value.<\/p>\n

\u201cTake advantage of the rising interest rate environment to optimize fixed income portfolio whist seeking to diversify our fixed income portfolio with respect to issue type, currency and maturity\u2019, she added.<\/p>\n

According to her, the company in 2019 will actively engage the investing public by providing timely information on the fund and collaborate with the regulators and investing community to improve liquidity of the fund.<\/p>\n
