Bismarck\u00a0Rewane, CEO Financial Derivatives,\u00a0says President Muhammadu Buhari and his top 2019 challenger, Atiku Abubakar, alongside other presidential hopefuls, will have to show us their cabinet before elections.<\/p>\n

The revered financial analyst said elections this time around will be different from the 2015 reality, and no one will vote change just for the sake of change.<\/p>\n

Rewane said all contenders must show Nigerians their plans and what it means for the economy of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think both of them are experienced, both of them are competent, both of them are advanced in age, both of them have multiple backgrounds, they have been in government at different times,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2014, everybody said let\u2019s just have a change, but now, it is not just change for the sake of change. You must have a programme, which is investor friendly, market-friendly, and people friendly.<\/p>

\u201cThe question of hiding your cabinet, and telling us after you win is over. Both Buhari and Atiku and the leading contenders will have to tell us who their team is, so we can evaluate them and see if they are going to perform.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that the incumbent will be under a lot of pressure to perform and that he has time to show what the government can do, while the challengers ask questions.<\/p>\n

He said the global investors do not want a drifting government or a government that is making decisions late, adding that it is better to\u00a0make the wrong decision than making no decision at all.<\/p>\n

Rewane said the current political competition for who becomes Nigeria\u2019s CEO in 2019 is good for the people and the Nigerian economy. THECABLE<\/a><\/p>\n
