Anthony Joshua has defeated Alexander Povetkin by knock out at Wembley Stadium to successfully defend his four World Heavyweight titles.<\/p>\n

Povetkin, 39, was the mandatory challenger to Joshua, 28, after the Brit defeated Joseph Parker at Cardiff\u2019s Principality Stadium back in March.<\/p>\n

Joshua went into beast mode at round seven,landing a right jab that sent his opponent to the canvass.<\/p>\n

“Povetkin is a very tough challenger, he proved that tonight with good left hooks and counter punches,” admitted Joshua.<\/p>\n

“I came in here to have fun, and give it my best,I knew he was strong to the head but weak to the body. I was just mixing it up.<\/p>\n

“It could have been seven, maybe nine, maybe 12 rounds to get him out of there. But the ultimate aim was to be victorious<\/p>\n

“I got my knockout streak back,” he declared.<\/p>

Joshua keeps hold of the WBA, (Super) IBF, WBO and IBO belts.<\/p>\n

That’s the first time Povetkin has been stopped in his career, courtesy of brutal punching from Joshua.<\/p>\n

After two slower opening rounds, Joshua later found his range in the fight.<\/p>\n

And it was a series of accurate combinations which did it in the seventh round, first with an overhand right and then some big lefts.<\/p>\n
