Adewale Olakusi has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old girl(name withheld) in the Ota area of Adoodo\/Ota Local Government.<\/p>\n

The suspect was arrested on Saturday following a complaint by the father of the victim who reported at Onipanu Police Division that he discovered a sudden and unusual demeanor on his daughter as well as lost of appetite for food. <\/p>\n

In his complaint,he stated further that after properly questioning the girl,he found out that the suspect had forcefully had carnal knowledge of his daughter and threatened her never to disclose it to anyone.<\/p>\n

Upon the report, the DPO Onipanu Division, SP Sangobiyi Johnson, detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the suspect who happened to be living in the same house with the Parents of the victim. <\/p>

On interrogation, the suspect confessed to committing the crime but blamed it on the devil’s handiwork.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to the hospital where medical report confirmed that the girl’s virginity has actually been carnally violated.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner of Police,Ahmed Iliyasu, after he was briefed,ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution. <\/p>\n
