A<\/span>s part of its efforts to drive financial inclusion and deepen financial services across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria through cost effective channels,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Firstmonie<\/span>agent network was\u00a0<\/span>rela<\/span>unched<\/span>\u00a0in July 2017 with a pilot scheme of in\u00a0<\/span>six\u00a0<\/span>densely populated\u00a0<\/span>s<\/span>tates of Lagos, Oyo, Kano, Abuja FCT, Anambra and Rivers.<\/span><\/p>\n

A<\/span>ccording<\/span>\u00a0to a statement from the bank, a<\/span>fter<\/span>an impressive 6-month pilot that ended in December 2017, the\u00a0<\/span>a<\/span>gent\u00a0<\/span>b<\/span>anking scheme was extended nationwide in January 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>And within\u00a0<\/span>six<\/span>\u00a0months of its launch, the scheme has made appreciable progress with an extensive network spread across every state, and at every\u00a0<\/span>l<\/span>ocal<\/span>\u00a0g<\/span>overnment\u00a0<\/span>a<\/span>rea nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>To demonstrate its acceptance and growing importance, the\u00a0<\/span>Firstmonie<\/span>\u00a0Agent network processes over 100,000 transactions worth over N1<\/span>\u00a0billion\u00a0<\/span>on a daily basis<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>
