Former Civilian President, Dr. Goodlock Ebele Jonathan on Wednesday breezed into Minna the Niger state capital unannounced.<\/p>\n

Former President Jonathan who came by road and was chauffer driven\u00a0 in a black Sports Utility Prado Car and followed by\u00a0 five other black Prados,\u00a0 one of them was occupied by security operatives.<\/p>\n

He was said to have arrived at\u00a0 the Uphill residence of former Military President, General Babangida at about 10.24am and immediately entered into what a source described as ” a private meeting” with the former Nigerian leader.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0 source at the Up Hill Villa of the Babangidas\u00a0 \u00a0who craved for anonymity in a chat with Nationalwires yesterday in Minna said a Gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)\u00a0 against\u00a0 the next year’\u00a0 general elections\u00a0 in Niger State,\u00a0 Alhaji Hanafi Muazu Sudan accompanied former president Jonathan on the visit.<\/p>\n

Nationalwires<\/em> further learnt\u00a0 that the duo rode in the same car from Abuja with Jonathan sitting on the owner’ s\u00a0 seat at the back, while Hanafi Sudan sat on the passenger seat behind the driver.<\/p>

It was further\u00a0 learnt that the two were also at the meeting with General Babangida which\u00a0 reportedly lasted close to two hours because the former president was said to have driven\u00a0 out of Minna at about 12.47pm yesterday.<\/p>\n

Details of the discussion were not known but the presence of Hanafi Sudan at the discussion fueled speculations that it may not have\u00a0 been\u00a0 unconnected with the gubernatorial primaries of the PDP in the State since Hanafi Sudan is one of the al governorship aspirants in the\u00a0 “Power” State.<\/p>\n

Further checks revealed that during the visit,\u00a0 former Military\u00a0 president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida allegedly sent for some leaders of the PDP in the state among them, was\u00a0 the\u00a0 Chairman of the State’ s chapter of the party, Barr. Tanko Beji and the immediate passt\u00a0 \u00a0governor of the State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu.<\/p>\n

These PDP chieftains were designed to meet General Babangida this weekend.<\/p>\n
