{"id":21532,"date":"2018-02-19T20:36:48","date_gmt":"2018-02-19T19:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=21532"},"modified":"2018-02-19T20:36:48","modified_gmt":"2018-02-19T19:36:48","slug":"planned-protest-nba-ikeja-branch-unnecessary-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/planned-protest-nba-ikeja-branch-unnecessary-police\/","title":{"rendered":"Planned Protest By NBA Ikeja Branch Unnecessary-Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Folake Sokoya <\/p>\n<p>The Lagos State Police Command has advised  the Ikeja branch of Nigeria Bar Association(NBA)to shelve their planned protest slated for February 20, 2018, saying all avenues to resolving their grievances have not been exploited.<\/p>\n<p>The Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), SP Chike Oti,made this known in a statement on Monday on behalf of the Police.<\/p>\n<p>According to Oti, CP Edgal Imohimi is deeply worried about  the security implication of such a protest by the Adesina Ogunlana-led NBA at &#8220;this time when the resources of the Police  command  is over stretched.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Oti stated:&#8221;The NBA chairman whose  office is a shouting distance away from the CP&#8217;s office, should have at least briefed him on the matter and indeed any issue  of interest to his association instead of planning a street protest for a matter that could be resolved in the CP&#8217;s office without much ado.
