The Police in Ogun state have arrested one Jacob Monday a labourer in a rice plantation for armed robbery and an attempted murder.<\/div>\n

The suspect who was arrested on the 2nd of January 2018 had on December \u00a019, 2017 attacked Mr. Monday Alex Dare, the supervisor of the farm situated at Alabata village in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun state when he came to pay salary of the workers.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The case was reported by Kamoru Akanbi one of the workers at Owode Egba Division that their supervisor, Monday Ale Dare came to the farm to pay workers salary, but the practice is for him to inspect each worker’s portion before payment.<\/div>\n

After inspecting the portion of Jacob and paid him, the said Jacob suddenly hit him with a club on the head consequence upon which the man lost his consciousness, not satisfied with that, he further matcheted his body severally with cutlass until he passed out momentarily. It was then he dispossessed him of the money meant for salary of other workers and bolted away.<\/div>\n

Having waited for the supervisor to come and inspect other workers portions endlessly, the workers went to check on him at Jacob’s portion where they met the supervisor in the pool of his own blood.<\/div>\n

On the strength of the report, the DPO Owode egba Division CSP sheu Alao detailed detectives to the scene where the victim was quickly rushed to an hospital for medical attention.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The suspect was later trailed and tracked down at Kabba in Kogi state where he was arrested and brought back to Owode egba Division.<\/div>\n

The commissioner of police, Ahmed iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to Federal special anti robbery squad (FSARS) for discreet investigation and prosecution.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>
