A Governorship aspirant on the platform of\u00a0 the\u00a0 Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP)\u00a0 against the 2019 general elections ,\u00a0 Engr.\u00a0 Hanafi Mua’zu Sudan has said that\u00a0 the ruling All Progressives Congress( APC) – led government\u00a0 at the federal level and in the state, were\u00a0 not living to the expectations of Nigerians.<\/p>\n

He said rather than fulfilling some the campaign promises made by them in the areas of gainful employments to millions of unemployed youths roaming the steeets, creating condicieve environment for\u00a0 economic growth and improving the living standards of the general populace, they have been engaged in blame games against the successive\u00a0 administrations\u00a0 at the federal and states levels.<\/p>\n

The PDP chieftain also blamed the ruling party at the federal and the state levels for being\u00a0 directly responsible for the socio- economic retrogelression being witnessed by the citizenry\u00a0 across\u00a0 the country presently, especially in Niger state.<\/p>\n

Hnafi\u00a0 stated this\u00a0 in a Press release signed by him and made available to newsmen over the weekend\u00a0 \u00a0in Minna, the state capital, adding that\u00a0 the citizenry, particularly, Nigerlites should not\u00a0 be discouraged by the present\u00a0 econmic hardship, poverty , unemployment and the ongoing fuel scarcity foisted on them\u00a0 \u00a0by the perceived insensitive\u00a0 APC -led government.<\/p>\n

He however\u00a0 assured that Nigerians would hieve a sigh of relief\u00a0 as the year 2019 general elections draw nearer, when he said the ruling APC government would be voted out of power by overwhelming votes of the Nigerian electorates who mistakenly voted them into power in 2015.<\/p>\n

He said Nigerians\u00a0 were tired of watching helplessly as the APC- led\u00a0 government both at the national and the state\u00a0 levels have continued to plung the nation into economic quagmire and social chaos .<\/p>\n

According to Engnr. Hanafi M. Sudan, “very soon the storm will be over as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been repositioned and rebranded to regain power, come\u00a0 2019”.<\/p>\n

The gubernatorial aspirant specifically\u00a0 blamed the current economic\u00a0 woes and hopelessness\u00a0 in Niger state\u00a0 to lack of focus and commitment by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello- led administration in the state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He accused\u00a0 the governor of\u00a0 gross incompetence and for dissolving his cabinet without adequate plan to put in place a formidable team that can take the state to a greater height.<\/p>\n

He therefore charged the PDP members nationwide\u00a0 and other party loyalists to remain\u00a0 focused, steadfast,\u00a0 irrespective of the\u00a0 intimidation by\u00a0 the\u00a0 APC – led governments\u00a0 both in the state and at the federal level.<\/p>

He urged\u00a0 PDP leaders and followers alike to\u00a0 \u00a0jealously guard\u00a0 the\u00a0 unity and genuine reconcilliation process with some\u00a0 agrieved party members nationwide .<\/p>\n

This, according to him\u00a0 is with the view\u00a0 to take over power democratically from what he described as clueless APC- led government come 2019 not only in Niger state but at the federal level, stressing that power\u00a0 belongs to the Nigerian people\u00a0 \u00a0come 2019 general elections.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hanafi , insisted\u00a0 that the PDP, was poised at taking over\u00a0 power in 2019, while\u00a0\u00a0wishing\u00a0 the people of the state and the Christian community in general across country a merry Christmas and a happy and\u00a0 prosperous New Year in advance.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the state’ s chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Barr. Tanko Beji has reiterated\u00a0 commitment\u00a0 of the party’s new\u00a0 \u00a0leadership especially at\u00a0 the national level to mobilise all the members at the national, state and local government level towards “repositioning\u00a0 and rebranding the party\u00a0 to regain the positions\u00a0 it mistakenly lost to the APC in 2015” .<\/p>\n

He said,\u00a0 “we will do everything legally possible to assume the political leadership of the state and country again”<\/p>\n

Beji\u00a0 stated this over the weekend in Minna\u00a0 Sunday in Minna\u00a0 while congratulating the christian community\u00a0 in\u00a0 the state on\u00a0 the occasion of the\u00a0 Christmas celebration.<\/p>\n

He however pointed out\u00a0 that as the citizenry prepared to\u00a0 enter the new year,\u00a0 thar there would\u00a0 be heightening of political activities across the country, while advising prospective political aspirants and their followers\u00a0 to\u00a0 play politics\u00a0 that is devoid of acrimony and character assassination<\/p>\n

“We should not be swayed by the lust for money as this would only ensure the retention of the status quo. We, in the\u00a0 PDP are\u00a0 prepared to put things in their right perspectives when we retakes power in the country, by the grace of Almighty Allah .<\/p>\n
