The Niger State Police Comnand has said that over 4,000 plain cloth and uniform personnel have been deployed to churches, motor parks, recrearion centres and amusement parks across the state in an effort to ensure hitch free Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state.<\/p>\n

It also assured both indigenes and\u00a0 residents in parts of the state that the security measures being put\u00a0 in place would guarantee peace and tranquility\u00a0 before, during and after the Christmas and New year celebrations.<\/p>\n

The Command\u00a0 stated this in a Press release\u00a0 signed and made available to newsmen by its Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO)\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0 Peter Sunday, an Assistant Superintendent of Police ( ASP)\u00a0 \u00a0on Friday in Minna, the state capital.<\/p>\n

The release added\u00a0 that the Command has also mapped out strategies to secure lives and properties of the citizenry, with a view to ensuring\u00a0 \u00a0a peaceful Yuletide celebrations throughout the state.<\/p>

ASP\u00a0 Peter Sunday,\u00a0 specifically stated that\u00a0 the Command\u00a0 has provided adequate security at all entry and exit points of the state as well as mapped\u00a0 out strategies to check all forms of security threats throughout the state.<\/p>\n

He said the command\u00a0 has put no fewer than 4, 000 plain cloth and uniform Operatives on the red alert as well as\u00a0 deployed the personnel\u00a0 to churches, motor parks,\u00a0 recreation centres and amusement parks across\u00a0 the state by ensuring that they\u00a0 work round the clock to ensure a hitch free celebration.<\/p>\n

The Command however reminded all Nigerlites on the need to maintain law and order before, during and after the forth coming\u00a0 festivities, just as it felicitates with the good people of the state and wished them a joyful Christmas and a Prosperous new year\u00a0 in advance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
