No fewer than thirteen persons have been killed\u00a0 in an auto crash on Minna-Bida road, the Federal Roads Safety Commission, (FRSC) Niger State Sector Command stated this\u00a0 yesterday.
\nSpeaking with journalists in Minna, the Sector Commander, \u00a0Yusuf Garba, said the incident happened on December 16 along Gada-Eregi village.<\/p>\n

He said that the \u00a0crash \u00a0 involved 2 white Toyota hiace bus XK382ABJ and \u00a0XK 383 ADJ heading in opposite directions.<\/p>\n

The Sector Commander said eye witnesses had alerted the command of the development, \u00a0resulting in quick deployment of personnel to the scene of the accident.<\/p>

He \u00a0said that those injured were taken to the \u00a0Minna specialist Hospital for treatment, while the dead were taken to the same hospital mortuary .<\/p>\n

He attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving on the part of the drivers, adding that such driving habits were usually responsible for many road crashes exprienced across the Nation’s highways.
\nHe said drivers especially commercial ones always take advantage of making more money during the festivities by needlessly overspeeding thereby endangering the lives of passengers.<\/p>\n
