{"id":20027,"date":"2017-12-21T10:58:42","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T09:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=20027"},"modified":"2017-12-21T11:05:23","modified_gmt":"2017-12-21T10:05:23","slug":"11-year-old-graduates-nepc-trains-52-garment-makers-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/11-year-old-graduates-nepc-trains-52-garment-makers-lagos\/","title":{"rendered":"11-Year-old Graduates As NEPC Trains 52 Garment Makers In Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An eleven-year-old, Master Abundant Okafor was among the 52 students trained as the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) graduated participants at its Human Capital Development Centre (HCDC), Apapa, Lagos 15<sup>th<\/sup> December.<\/p>\n<p>Okafor, a JS2 student of Radiant High School, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos said his parents supported him to enroll during the two month summer holiday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI applied so I could use my summer holiday to learn an extra-curricular activity which continued after the holiday,\u201d he said, advising parents to allow their children have vocational training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParents should allow their children to have vocational skills that can help them later in life. I was trained in pattern drafting and it is going to be useful for me.
