Father\u00a0 of a 16-year-old female student of Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Tunga Minna (Gidan-kwano), impregnated by her Vice Principal, Malam Mohammed Mohammed, has\u00a0 cried out for justice to secure the future of his daughter who is\u00a0 said to have neen abandoned by the man who impregnated her.<\/p>\n

The randy Vice Principal, Malam Mohammed Mohammed had\u00a0 in March this year been accused of havin sexual bouts with one of his Junior Secondary School (JSS) students, Miss Faith Galadima after which she became pregnant and was recently now delivered of\u00a0 a bunching baby boy in her village, Injita, Munya Local Government of the state .<\/p>\n

The accused\u00a0 was arraigned in court on April 4, on a two-count charge of; unlawful sexual intercourse with a child, and impregnating a female student. He was subsequently remanded in prison custody for 3 months after pleading not guilty to the charge and applied for bail.<\/p>\n

The Chief\u00a0 Magistrate, Fatima Auna who granted him bail of\u00a0 N1 million whle staring that\u00a0 her decision was in line with; Sections 35 and 36 of the 1999 Constitution, and Sections 341 and 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code.<\/p>\n

But barely\u00a0 nine months after the deeed, the aggrieved\u00a0 father\u00a0 of the girl has\u00a0 cried out for the intervention of the state\u00a0 Governor, Alhaji Abubarkar Sani Bello and relevant agencies to ensure justice for her daughter who has been abandoned to suffer with her baby in their village, Injita in Munya Local Government areas of the state.<\/p>\n

National Wire’s investigations also revealed that the under aged girl\u00a0 as at the time of her defilement was serving as a house help to a man who was\u00a0 also a friend to the Vice Principal and this made it easy access for him to frequent the house and having unlawful carnal knowledge of\u00a0 the minor while her supposed benefactor looked the other way.<\/p>\n

While Miss Faith Galadima was still \u00a0suffering circumstantial abandonement with no hope for the future and that of her baby, the man who forcefully and unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her is not only still in service but walking the streets a free man.<\/p>\n

It was further learnt that in an apparent attempt\u00a0 to cover the Vice Principal\u2019s \u2018attrocities \u2018, Mohammed was said to have\u00a0 been \u2018secretly\u2019 transferred from Government Day Secondary School, Tunga, Minna, to a yet to be identified school somewhere\u00a0 in the state\u00a0\u00a0 even as the case against him is\u00a0 still pending in Court.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, 65 year old father of the young nursing mother , Mr. Haruna Galadima, informed\u00a0 journalists\u00a0 how his daugther Faith Gala’s ma\u00a0 who gave birth to a baby boy on the 28th of October, after she was re-united with the family by her guardian in August, the family have not heard from or received help from anybody.<\/p>

Mr. Galadima told our correspondent that ever since her daughter was brough home pregnant, the entire family finds it difficult manging the harsh economic realities in making ends meet, this he said does not guarantee the future of her daughter andthat of her baby boy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThroughout the duration of her pregnancy and the time she put to bed on the 28th of last month, we have been managing her and we \u00a0 did not receive any assistance from the Vice Principal that impregnated her\u201d, adding however that it is unfortunate that the culprit responbsible for the pregnancy is walking a free man while their daughter has been abandoned to suffer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want the state government to assist my daughter return to school and continue her studies. I also want justice for my daughter. When I heard my daughter was impregnated by her Vice Principal, I regretted sending her to the school. A teacher who is supposed to teach and correct her is the one responsible for her predicaments”, he asked rehotherically<\/p>\n

According to the victim\u2019s father, \u201cWhat I want now is for my daughter to be taken care of by the man who put her in a family way, he should take full responsibilities of his actions, including the upkeep of the product of his immoral act\u201d.<\/p>\n

Also speaking, Faith has called on the state government to enable her continue with her studies and to carter for her baby, Faith who battles to control tears said, \u201cI am not happy that I am now a mother at my tender age. I will not allow my present condition to shatter my dreams of becoming a nurse\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cNotwithstanding what I am going through now, I still want to further with my studies because I want to be a professional Nurse in the future\u201d, she said and advised young people of her age who may have suffered same injustice as her, especially the girl child not to lose hope but be committed to their studies.<\/p>\n

Faith also encouraged victims of rape and other forms of child abuse meted out to them by individual or group of persons to report to their school authorities or their parents of any form of abuses and have faith that surely though could be delayed, they will get justice.<\/p>\n

The Director-General of the Niger state Child Rights Protection Agency, Mrs Mairam Kolo, also said the agency had demanded that the state Ministry of Education remit part of the Vice Principal\u2019s monthly salary for the upkeep of Faith and her baby.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Kolo who expressed optimism that there will be justice for Faith said the agency is also working towards puting an application to the court for a DNA test to be conducted on the baby to assist the police in their investigations and as well in helping the court on passing judgment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
