Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) has appologised to its numerous customers over difficulties experienced on various transactions yesterday. The bank in a statement officially appeased its customers stating that it has since restored normal operations.<\/p>\n

In a release made available to National Wire on Thursday, the bank explained what actually happened which also dispelled rumour making the rounds suggesting the bank was weak.<\/p>\n

The statement reads, \u201cWe sincerely apologise for every inconvenience you experienced due to the service disruption on our banking channels on Wednesday, October 4 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt GTBank, we know that when you walk into our banking halls, subscribe to our products or make use of our e-channels, it is because you expect the best from us. This is the reason we drive all our resources on a daily basis to ensuring we deliver on this promise yesterday. We fell short of this promise and for this we are truly sorry.<\/p>\n

\u201cClearly something went wrong, but we have worked hard to fix it, and all services on our banking channels have been restored. Once again, please accept our most sincere apologies.\u201d<\/p>

The bank on Thursday continued its tradition of satisfying its numerous customers who are also reciprocating the gesture.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, October 4, customers of the bank experienced untold hardship due to network difficulties. A customer who was badly hit also told National Wire how she arrived home late due to inability to access fund. \u201cI had given out all the cash on me during the day hoping that I could easily reach the nearest ATM machine to get money,\u201d Olubolade said. The business man who runs a boutique on Lagos Island continued that, \u201cIt was terrible because what I had on me couldn\u2019t take me home and it was dark. Unfortunately, my other friends around had the same issues because we all believe in GTBank.\u201d<\/p>\n
