from the International Journal of Impotence Research, doctors analysed which sex positions were the most dangerous for men.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The study found that &#8216;doggy style&#8217; sex is the most dangerous, with 41 per cent of cases of penile fracture occurring as a result of using the position.<\/p>\n<div class=\"artSplitter mol-img-group\">\n<p id=\"ext-gen120\" class=\"imageCaption\">In a new study called the &#8216;relationship between sexual position and severity of penile fracture&#8217; from the International Journal of Impotence Research, doctors have looked at the most dangerous sex positions &#8211; and it may surprise you<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Missionary, with the man on top, was in second place, as the cause behind 25 per cent of penile fracture cases, followed by sex with the woman on top in third.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being one of the more popular positions, &#8216;doggy style&#8217; can lead to the unsuspecting man hitting a woman&#8217;s pelvic bone, causing it to potentially snap.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Tracey Cox told <a href=\"http:\/\/dailymail.co.uk\">MailOnline<\/a>: &#8216;I see why this is the most dangerous of the three \u2013 especially if it\u2019s done at the end of the bed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;All it takes if for him to thrust enthusiastically and her to shift position a little and next thing, he\u2019s fallen out and about to hit the hard end of the bed with force.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;Stop it happening to you by taking firm hold of her hips to make sure she stays in position.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">You\u2019re also safer doing this position on the floor rather than with something hard in front of you.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">She understands why the woman being on top can cause complications, explaining: &#8216;If things get lusty and she leans too far forward or too far back and he has a full erection, it can bend the penis into angles that it isn\u2019t supposed to go.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Tracey was, however, surprised by missionary being included, saying:\u00a0&#8216;Missionary isn\u2019t a position I\u2019d classify as remotely dangerous so am perplexed as to how it made it on the list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;But if he accidentally pulled out and thrust hard against a hard floor, it could cause a fracture.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The researchers who worked on the study included R Barros, L Schulze, A A Ornellas, L Koifman and L A Favorito.<\/p><div data-ad-id=\"32665\" style=\"text-align:center; and &#8220;man-on-top&#8221;, but the &#8220;doggy style&#8221; had more severity of penile fracture when compared with &#8220;woman-on-top&#8221;.&#8217;<\/p>\n<div class=\"moduleFull mol-video\">\n<div class=\"item\">\n<div class=\"vjs-video-container vjs-fixed vjs-span-two-col femail vjs-flyout-placeholder\">\n<div id=\"mol-88015110-24f3-11e7-b95f-eb827d97fda5\" class=\"art-ins mol-factbox femail\">\n<h3 class=\"mol-factbox-title\">HOW DOES A PENIS FRACTURE?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"ins cleared mol-factbox-body\">\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">A penile fracture occurs when the appendage is subject to a sharp, blunt force trauma, which can occur during vigorous intercourse or masturbation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Since 1924, 1,600 cases have been recorded worldwide &#8211; roughly 16 instances per year, the Telegraph previously reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Researchers noted that in 50 per cent of cases, a gruesome cracking sound can be heard.
