Against the backdrops of \u00a0the official \u00a0launch of the “Bail is free Campaign” in the Niger State Police Command on Wednesday \u00a0at the “B” Division of the Command in \u00a0Minna, the state capital, the Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Kpotun Idris\u00a0has directed the “X Squad” of the force to monitor the implementation nationwide .<\/p>\n

“The X squad of the Nigerian Police force has been dispatched \u00a0to\u00a0 all the states of the federation to monitor compliance to bail is free campaign and given power to arrest, detain and discipline any erring Police Officer”<\/p>\n

IGP Ibrahim Kpotun Idris who gave the directive \u00a0also instructed \u00a0that the campaign should be replicated in the 36 states of the federation. .<\/p>\n

The Boss, \u00a0explained that \u00a0the bail is free campaign policy was introduced to stamp out corruption among the personnel of \u00a0the force, saying that “his management team pay special attention to issues of corruption allegation most especially as it concerns bail of suspects in police custudy”<\/p>

The IGP said in the speech read on \u00a0his behalf by the Force Public Relations Officer Mr. Jimoh Moshud, a Chief Superintendent of Polce {CSP} said “the force had embarked on “aggressive community and people oriented engagement to bring the Nigeria Police Force closer to the people with the view to \u00a0ensure effective service delivery to all Nigerians “<\/p>\n

He stressed that the eminent persons forum which is a platform to strengthen the community policing strategies to tackle \u00a0ethnic, religious and communal disputed and crisis.<\/p>\n

He warned \u00a0that any police personnel found wanting would be punished according to laid \u00a0down procedures, adding that it was \u00a0a departure from the past.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in his earlier remarks at the occasion, the Niger State Police Commissioner, Mr Austin \u00a0Iwero Agbonlahor , \u00a0 stated that the flag off \u00a0of the Bail is Free Campaign at the “B” Division , Paikoro road, under the \u00a0state Police Command Headquarters yesterday was part of IGP’s resolve to key into \u00a0the Nigeria Police Force’s \u00a0creed .<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
