{"id":17064,"date":"2017-09-07T14:08:50","date_gmt":"2017-09-07T13:08:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=17064"},"modified":"2017-09-07T14:42:10","modified_gmt":"2017-09-07T13:42:10","slug":"wife-seized-car-chased-house-man-tells-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/wife-seized-car-chased-house-man-tells-court\/","title":{"rendered":"My wife seized my car, chased me out of the house, man tells court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>55-year-old civil servant, Ezekiel Daniel, on Thursday approached a Mararaba Grade 1 Area Court in Aso Pada, seeking the court\u2019s intervention to end his 12-year-old marriage to his wife, Janet.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner alleged that Janet chased him out of his house.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel informed the court that he got married to his wife sometime in 2005, according to the native law of Kwara and the marriage was blessed with two children.<\/p>\n<p>He said sometime in 2014, his wife seized his car key, locked the entrance to the house and refused to allow him in, adding that she later chased him out of the house.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inserted_ad\">\u00a0\u201cFor three years now, I have been living in a rented apartment and I have been boarding commercial vehicle to go to work since then.<\/div>\n<p>\u201cMy wife is uncontrollable when she is angry; she is abusive, disrespectful and nags over things that are not worth making issues from,\u201d the petitioner said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy wife quarrels and fights with our neighbours over little things, thereby bringing shame and disrespect to me.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He begged the court to dissolve the marriage, as he no longer loves Janet.<\/p><div data-ad-id=\"32665\" style=\"text-align:center; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px;float:none;\" class=\"afw afw_ad_image afw_ad afwadid-32665  \">\r\n                                                            <div style=\"font-size:10px;text-align:center;color:#cccccc;\">Advertisement<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.accessbankplc.com\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"auto\" max-width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Banner-1.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n                                                                        \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p>\u201cPlease, terminate the marriage, as it has broken down irretrievably and all efforts to resolve the matrimonial issues have not yielded any good result,\u201d he begged the court.<\/p>\n<p>Janet, 45, denied all the allegations made by her husband, saying that he did not tell the court the main problem facing the marriage.<\/p>\n<p>She said her husband was just trying to tarnish her image by saying all this and leaving out the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Janet added that she still loves her husband and begged the court to give them time to settle.<\/p>\n<p>The Judge, Mr. Albert Maga, adjourned the matter till September 21 for report of settlement.
