When popular Lagos based television station, Channels Television adopted the Ise Oluwa<\/em> tune, little did the management of the multiple award winning station know that the tune is going to motivate thousands of children.<\/p>\n

One of such children is 12-year-old Iseoluwa Abidemi who recently unveiled her maiden album titled Iseoluwa<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a press conference to announce the work at her family residence in Shimawa, Ogun State recently, elated father of the artiste, Mr. Rotimi Abidemi told National Wire that his daughter had loved music even as a baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has been a singer since age two. Once she heard the Ise Oluwa<\/em> tune on Channels television as a little child, she would sing along. We thought it was one of the things children do and we thought she would soon stop with age, but she continued,\u201d he relayed.<\/p>\n

Abidemi added that, \u201cAs a little child, she would scribble out something and with the help of her teacher she would sing it out.\u201d The proud dad however wants his daughter to excel at her studies. \u201cThere is time for music and there is time for studies, the two must not clash. Education is first, then music is a passion.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also advised parents to allow their children to express themselves. \u201cThe time is passed when parents want their children to stick to education alone. Education is to let you have enlightenment on what to do in life and know how to address values,\u201d Abidemi said.<\/p>\n

Advising parents, he said, \u201cParents should teach their children how to express themselves so they won\u2019t be taken advantage of.\u201d Concluding, he said, \u201cWe encourage parents and would-be parents to allow their children to express themselves, you have to give them good education.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appreciating the audience at the press conference, Iseoluwa did not fail to recognise the hard work of her parents, her music teacher and Producer. \u201cI thank everyone present at this conference, I thank my parents as well for the opportunity. I also appreciate my Producer, Mr. Frank for the encouragement.<\/p>

\u201cI want to go far in music and I want to also excel at my studies. I want to show the wonderful works of God and His existence through my music. So I am not going secular because I want to sing gospel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Talking about her role models, Iseoluwa said, \u201cAsa and Nathaniel Bassey are my role models and I want to use my music to influence my world positively.\u201d<\/p>\n

Project Manager and Producer, Harrison Frank at the press conference said, \u201cIseoluwa\u2019s work has been encouraging. After the likes of Tosin Jegede and Benita there has been no kid stars and this has made the children adopt adults\u2019 music. Iseoluwa is young and she needs to be promoted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Explaining the future plan of the young artiste, Harrison said, \u201cWe have been able to put things together and we have drawn a plan. She needs to be on the faces of the people therefore we want to ensure she is very busy musically we would work on different programs at different times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stating further, the Producer said Nigerians should look forward to another album from Iseoluwa between October and November.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of the songs you would hear today are either hip hop or other things. What she wants to do is to sing about and project God. If she is able to do music that is God related, then every other child would want to emulate and listen. She would be able to influence her peers and they would listen to her more than they listen to adults,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
