The Wife of Chief Bisi Akande, a former Governor of Osun State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Party is dead.<\/p>\n

Omowunmi Akande died on Tuesday at the University College Hospital in Ibadan at the age of 73. However, the cause of her death has not been revealed by the family.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor about 48 years now that I have gotten married, I am still with my wife,\u201d Akande said in January 2014 at the 70th birthday of Omowunmi.\u201d<\/p>\n

The APC Chieftain described his wife as the best woman a man could ever ask for.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn our marriage, we agreed to live together no matter what the condition is. Except for when I was in the prison, we have always been together and we will always be.<\/p>

\u201cWhat has kept us this far is that from the beginning, we take ourselves not just as husband and wife but also as brother and sister.<\/p>\n

We do everything together; we love each other, take care of the children together and spend money together,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
