Former Governor of Taraba State, Mr. Danbaba Suntai, is dead, a local radio station Rhythm 93.7FM Lagos has announced.<\/p>\n

Suntai, a former Governor of Taraba State, who died in the United States of America today was elected governor of the North Eastern state in 2007 and re-elected April 2011 for a second term all on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.<\/p>\n

The trained pharmacist escaped with injuries when his helicopter crashed in Adamawa State 25th<\/sup> October 2012. He was flown to the United States of America for treatment and later became unconscious.<\/p>

Former Commissioner for Information in the state, Mr. Emmanuel Bello, confirmed the death in an interview in Abuja on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The former Commissioner who served while Suntai was Governor said the \u201cformer Governor died in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n

Suntai, a 1984 graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria who passed today would have been 56 in two days.<\/p>\n
