Ecobank Nigeria says the deepening of its digital banking solutions has enabled the bank take easy, fast and secure banking solutions to every household in the country.<\/p>\n

The bank\u2019s digital platforms enables customers do instant payment; send and receive money securely and instantly; shop with mobile phone in store; instant account opening on mobile phones and instant payment across 33 countries amongst others.<\/p>\n

Ayotunde Kuponiyi, Ecobank Head of Consumer Banking said, \u201cNigeria apart from being the most populous country in Africa, is a leading hub for entrepreneurship and technology, hence the bank\u2019s \u00a0drive to achieve 100 percent digital banking solutions for the country. Customers desire immediate transactional fulfilment and this is what our digital banking provides using our unrivalled Pan-African network and the power of digital to satisfy. Also we have continued to include the unbanked into a more formal financial ecosystem\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kuponiyi, who was talking to the media in Lagos, reiterated that Ecobank\u2019s shift from physical to digital banking has not only deepened customer satisfaction in all segments, but has begun to yield the expected dividends based on testimonials from customers.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cour well-thought decision to shift focus towards making most interaction with Ecobank via digital platforms is paying off well. Our customers and other partners are fast adopting our digital channels. This is critical us as it translates to us meeting our set goal of achieving over 100 million customers by 2020.\u201d<\/p>

Specifically, he explained that the Bank\u2019s wide range of innovative digital products and services, that includes the Ecobank Mobile App, Masterpass QR and the Ecobank Xpress Account were being readily accepted in the market space, in his words \u201cour Mobile banking has become a real game changer, offering a more cost efficient channel for both our customers and the bank.<\/p>\n

Also Ecobank has enhanced its Retail Internet Banking platform with much speed and flexibility, while the Ecobank Mobile App enables customers do instant payments; open accounts, as well as do instant transfers across 33 countries in Africa.<\/p>\n
