\nThe operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command over the weekend arrested three suspected kidnappers fleeing from Ibadan in Lagos after collecting N3 million ransom.<\/p>\n

The kidnappers, Adekunle Funsho Charles Ezeilo and Obioha Nnaji were apprehended in Abule Egba Lagos after kidnapping a lady and collecting N3 million ransom.<\/p>\n

The kidnappers had, after collecting the ransom fled. When detectives in Ibadan detected that the kidnappers were heading to Lagos with the victim\u2019s Toyota Highlander, they radioed Lagos for assistance.<\/p>\n

RRS officials on receiving the radio signal swung to action, tracked the vehicle to the Shrine in Ikeja and one of the suspects was apprehended and the vehicle, a\u00a0Toyota Highlander, 2005 model with the registration number LND 954 EE was recovered from\u00a0a compound somewhere Abule Egba, Lagos.
\nThe first suspect, Adekunle Funsho assisted the police in the arrest of two other suspects who were also apprehended at the Shrine\u00a0while another suspect simply identified as Theophilus is on the run.
\nAccording to Funsho, a fashion designer in Felele area, Ibadan, where the kidnapping took place, he said that Theophilus handed over the car to him in Ibadan and told me to look for a buyer for the car.<\/p>

“I brought the car to Lagos because I know that I would get a buyer quickly for the car. The instruction from him was that I sell the Highlander at N800, 000:00. My\u00a0buyer is from Ondo State. He has bought a car from me before, a fairly clean Toyota Corolla. He bought it N550, 000:00. I took the car to him on Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, where he paid me before moving the car away.<\/p>\n

“Charles is my friend of over 5 years. We met at Redeemed Church, Ogba, where I was a chorister. I gave him the car to help me warehouse it for me to get a buyer. He took the car from me at Femi’ Shrine to his house in Abule Egba.” Funso confessed.<\/p>\n
