The Senator, representing Niger South Senatorial District, at the national
\nassembly Abuja , Senator\u00a0 Mustapha Sani Mohammed has given massive
\nempowerment programmes to the people of the senatorial district in an
\nattempt to reduce to the barest minimum the level of unemployment among the people, especially youths and women.<\/p>\n

He made the disclosure in an interaction with the newsmen over the weekend in his senatorial office in Bida local government of the state,
\nhighlighting further that in almost two years of his tenure at the national
\nassembly, Abuja, that he\u00a0 has paid fines to free 40prison Inmates in Bida,
\nAgaie and Lapai prisons.<\/p>\n

“I have also been involved in facilitating the\u00a0 installation of digital
\ntransmitter for power FM Bida, i have provided\u00a0 880bags of fertilizer to
\nfarmers at 9bags per ward across the zone, while i have also empowered no fewer\u00a0 50 youths with generating sets for business, as well as disbursement of\u00a0 Trade capital to 400 widows across the Zone.<\/p>\n

“I have also\u00a0 facilitated appointments for the\u00a0 people of my constituents
\nat the federal ministries and agencies namely Nigeria Security and Civil
\nDefence Corps, the Nigerian Immigration Service,\u00a0 Economic and\u00a0 Financial Crimes Commission ,\u00a0 Federal Inland Revenue Service among others , to mention but\u00a0 a few.<\/p>\n

“Currently i have also\u00a0 obtained about 200 forms for youths in my
\nsenatorial district to be employed at\u00a0 the recently confirmed Peace Corps
\nby the Nigeria Senate and the forms are\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0being distributed two each to the people in\u00a0 88wards in eight local governments constituting the senatorial district”, said Senator Mustapha.<\/p>\n

The Senator further disclosed that he has seized the opportunity of his
\nbeing\u00a0 a member of the committee working on the establishment of the
\nembattled Peace Corps to\u00a0 outsmart his colleagues at the red chambers of
\nthe national assembly Abuja in obtaining the employment forms for the
\nyouths of his senatorial district in Niger state.<\/p>\n

He said if thing goes as\u00a0 as planned ,\u00a0 these people would be among the
\nfirst batch to benefit from this job adding that 200 people among many will go a long way in solving the\u00a0 lingering problems of unemployment In the north central region of the country .<\/p>\n

The forms , according to him, were presented to the Coordinators each at
\ntheir respective local governments\u00a0 beginning from Mokwa local government, since Tuesday, 6th December 2016 , stressing that the people to which these forms were being given to were expected to fill it and promptly return the forms to the same coordinators whom they collected the forms from in each of the 8local governments.<\/p>\n

He said the successful candidates would\u00a0 in no distance time go for their
\ntrainings\u00a0 after which they would be officially confirmed\u00a0 by the Federal
\nGovernment, emphasizing that the\u00a0 forms were not to being\u00a0 given to the
\nparty members,\u00a0 but rather graduates who are qualified\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0for the job.<\/p>\n

According to him the gesture is just a tip of the\u00a0 ice bag, adding that he
\nhas also put in\u00a0 place programmes within the limit of his ability not only
\nto empower the youths but also to develop the senatorial district and help in sweeping\u00a0 away poverty once and for all.<\/p>

He however\u00a0 pleaded with the aggrieved youths to be patient with him
\nnoting that things were not the way it used to be in the past where
\nsenators who were supposed to make laws and monitor the activities of the Executives were busy siphoning public funds in collaboration with the heads of ministries and agencies .<\/p>\n

Accordingly, he said some corrupt and very selfish\u00a0 politicians\u00a0 got this
\nmoney then not considering the sources because of their callous habits,
\nbut\u00a0 today it is totally different, while pledging\u00a0 his total support for
\nPresident Muhammadu Buhari\u00a0 in\u00a0 his policies that will have positive
\neffects\u00a0 on the lives of the people .<\/p>\n

Senator Mustapha thereby enjoined Nigerians to support the President in his bid to reposition the country from the current economic recession to a very buoyant economy\u00a0 very soon ,\u00a0 considering the harsh\u00a0 economic situation in the\u00a0 country and the sufferings of the Nigerian masses.<\/p>\n

It would be recalled that President Buhari\u00a0 once said that the era of
\nwasteful spending is over and the senator said he\u00a0 will not want\u00a0 his
\nyouthful age destroy his political carrier.<\/p>\n

And for that reason,\u00a0 t senator said he is deeply worried about the
\neconomic situation in the country and the hardship it in turn brings to
\npeople but want the people not to relent and should help the government\u00a0 at all levels with prayers to enable them deliver on the promises made during the electioneering campaigns.<\/p>\n

He also brought to the notice of the people in attendance and indeed every other well meaning individuals in the zone that\u00a0 he is\u00a0 currently being confronted by several challenges such as high expectations from the people who elected him, lack of adequate capital at his disposal to carry out his own personal projects as proposed earlier on before\u00a0 the beginning of this year..<\/p>\n

Other challenge according to him is\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0his court case which undoubtedly has made him unbalanced courtesy of his opponent(General Garba) in the same party(APC)in the last party primaries challenging his victory.<\/p>\n

This is against the backdrops of an advice by his Royal Highness,\u00a0 the Etsu Nupe , Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar to let go the past as the retired
\nGeneral .cum politician\u00a0 is old enough to be the Senator’s Father.<\/p>\n

‘But despite the highly referred monarch’s wise counsels,\u00a0 yet the\u00a0 General has refused to let go of the case, but i have maintained that no amount of threat or distractions from any quarter will deter me\u00a0 from doing what I was voted to do’, he stated.<\/p>\n

He therefore commends the people for their patients and promised that
\nIn-Shaa-Allah the current hardship will soon be a thing of thr past while
