{"id":11883,"date":"2017-03-30T16:02:53","date_gmt":"2017-03-30T15:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/?p=11883"},"modified":"2017-03-31T10:25:06","modified_gmt":"2017-03-31T09:25:06","slug":"dealing-members-approves-nse-demutualisation-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/sub\/dealing-members-approves-nse-demutualisation-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Dealing Members Approve&#8217;s NSE Demutualisation Process"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dealing members (Stockbrokers) on the Lagos floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday at an Extra- Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) approved the demutualization programme of the Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically at the meeting, Patrick Ezeagu, President Association of Stockbroking House of Nigeria (ASHON) moved the motion for the underlisted prayers to be taken as one and was supported by Emeka Madubuike, Past President of ASHON.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>That the National Council and Management be and are hereby authorised to proceed with the process leading up to the Demutualisation of The Exchange.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>That the engagement of financial advisers, legal advisers, tax advisers and any other \u00a0adviser that may be required for the Demutualisation of The Exchange be and is hereby ratified and approved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>That the National Council and Management be and are hereby authorized to do all such things and exercise all such powers as may be necessary or incidental to achieving the objective specified in I above, subject to applicable laws and regulations and obtaining the approvals of Members and the relevant regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><div data-ad-id=\"32665\" style=\"text-align:center; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px;float:none;\" class=\"afw afw_ad_image afw_ad afwadid-32665  \">\r\n                                                            <div style=\"font-size:10px;text-align:center;color:#cccccc;\">Advertisement<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.accessbankplc.com\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"auto\" max-width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalwire.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Banner-1.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n                                                                        \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p>In his comment, \u00a0the NSE Council President, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, noted that \u201cthe approval of the NSE demutualisation plan marks the achievement of an important milestone towards completion of the exercise.
