The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE orExchange) in collaboration with Access Bank Plc will commemorate the 2017Global Money Week themed: \u2018Learn. Save. Earn\u2019 with a series of educationalprograms to raise awareness and improve the capabilities of young people tomake sound decisions when it comes to financial matters.<\/p>\n

The knowledge sharing sessions will hold from March27 to March 31, 2017 across all NSE\u2019s offices in Nigeria. It will see itsemployees mentoring young people on how money works, saving, investing,creating livelihood, gaining employment and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Other activities for the week will include a ClosingGong ceremony at the Exchange, excursions to the trading floor, interactivesession with executive management of the Exchange.<\/p>\n

Global Money Week, a global movement to raiseawareness of the importance of financial education and financial inclusion forchildren and youth is led by Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI), anon-profit organisation based in Amsterdam.<\/p>

According to Pai Gamde, Acting Head, CorporateServices Division, NSE, the Exchange is playing its part in building afinancially savvy generation of future leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo develop an inclusive finance system, we believewe must first solve the problem of educating financial consumers to enable themefficiently utilise access to basic financial services We believe that as anation, children and youths are an important component of building a securedfuture and we must train these future leaders on how to make sound financialdecisions\u201d.<\/p>\n
