Former military president General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has a military wing, which membership comprises of top Generals.<\/p>\n

He said the members of the party\u2019s military wing include himself, Lt
\nGeneral Theophillus Yakubu Danjuma, General Olusegun Obasanjo General Aliyu Mohammed among others.<\/p>\n

Speaking while receiving report of the Senator Ahmed Makarfi committee on “strategy and inter party Affairs ” led by professor Jerry Gana at his uphill residence, Minna Niger state yesterday, IBB declared, \u201cWe are the military wing of PDP, we took a lot of interest in the PDP”.<\/p>\n

The former military president who likened the party at the formative stage Irish Republican Army said members of the wing took a special interest in the affairs of the PDP.<\/p>\n

” I termed us IRA military wing of PDP; I thank God we came up with the
\nconcept that PDP should rule for 60 years”, he noted.<\/p>\n

General Babangida also restated his believe that a two party system of
\ngovernment is still the best option for Nigeria, stressing that it provides
\na choice for the people.<\/p>

He believes if the party put its house together, it can rule for 60 years,
\nwhile expressing optimism that it would get out of its present crisis
\nstronger.<\/p>\n

The former military president also said PDP is the only party, which
\nacceptability cuts across all divide even as its impact is felt across the
\ncountry.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Professor Jerry Gana said the committee was out to finding
\nsolutions to the crisis that tended to polarize the party and re-strategise
\nand remobilize it to\u00a0 recapture power from the ruling All Progressives
\nCongress (APC).<\/p>\n

Professor Gana, who claimed the APC-led government has failed the Nigeria massess said the PDP ” is poised to take over government from those who do not have a clue about how to govern the nation”<\/p>\n

Gana was accompanied by Ambassado Aminu\u00a0 Wali, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Chief Tom Ikimi, Eng. Jide Adeniji, Alhaji Mohammed Imam, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Prof.Ahmed\u00a0 Rufai Alkali, Barr. Tanko Beji , former Nigger state Gov. Dr. Babangida Aliyu and other members of the\u00a0 state PDP executives.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
