Niger state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has commissioned Yakila Police station in Yakila community , Rafi Local Government Area of\u00a0 the state.<\/p>\n

The station, according to a Press statement made available to newsmen over the weekend by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,\u00a0 Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace , was built and furnished by the state government at the cost of N19 million , to replace the dilapidated structure serving the town and the adjourning villages.<\/p>\n

The release added that the commissioning which was part of Governor
\nAbubakar\u00a0 Sani Bello’s mid-term assessment tour of projects embarked upon by the state and local governments in the state.<\/p>\n

The Governor was quoted as saying that the provision of adequate security for lives and property remain a cardinal priority of his administration, stressing that proper measures were being taken to ensure security and peaceful coexistence among the people of the state.<\/p>

The Governor stated further that building and renovation of Police stations and other security formations in parts of\u00a0 the state was a move by the APC-led administration in the state\u00a0 to provide conducive environment for law enforcement agencies\u00a0 and to\u00a0 enable them carry out their constitutional responsibility of maintaining peace and ensuring security of lives and property\u00a0 across the state.<\/p>\n

“We are committed to ensuring that the lives of our people as well as their properties are safe and secured. This we intend to do by ensuring that the welfare of all our security agencies are taken care off by ensuring tha they work in conducive environment”, said Governor Sani Bello.<\/p>\n

The Governor\u00a0 also disclosed that plans were underway\u00a0 to renovate the
\nnewly upgraded Pandogari township Police station to the status of a
\ndivision and the Police outpost\u00a0 in Kusherki all in Rafi Local Government
\narea.<\/p>\n

National Wire observed that few weeks ago, the\u00a0 state government equipped the police and vigilante groups in Rafi, Muyan and Shiroro local governments of the state with motorcycles for effective surveillance and to checkmate the rushing wave of crimes in the state.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
